How To Receive Eternal Life (Salvation)

1 – Admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior;

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23a

2 – Believe in Jesus Christ who died for your sins;

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ (Jesus) died for us.” Romans 5:8

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“…The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

3 – Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins;

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9

4 – Confess Jesus as Lord of your life.

“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10:9-10
