What we are About here at Medulla

Serving the spiritual needs of the Lakeland community for more than a century.

A Beacon of Hope
for 137 Years

For over 137 years, we have proudly served as a lighthouse for Christ, illuminating the path to faith, love, and community. As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, we are committed to honoring God and embracing a hope-filled future for our church and the greater Lakeland community.

A God-Honoring, Family-Friendly, and Conservative
Southern Baptist Church

At Medulla Baptist Church, we prioritize honoring God in every aspect of our worship, teaching, and ministries. Our desire is to create a welcoming and family-friendly environment where individuals and families can grow in their faith and build lasting relationships.

As a conservative Southern Baptist Church, we hold steadfastly to the principles and teachings of the Bible. We believe in the authority of Scripture, the centrality of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives. Our commitment to biblical truth guides our beliefs and practices, providing a solid foundation for spiritual growth and discipleship.

A Multigenerational Congregation with Vibrant Classes and Activities

One of the defining characteristics of Medulla Baptist Church is our multigenerational congregation. We believe that every age group has unique spiritual needs and perspectives, which is why we offer a variety of classes and activities for all ages.

For children, we provide engaging and nurturing Children’s Ministry programs where they can learn about God’s love and grow in their faith in a safe and supportive environment. Our dedicated team of trained volunteers ensures that children receive excellent care and age-appropriate biblical instruction.

Our Student Ministry is designed to help teenagers navigate the challenges of adolescence while deepening their relationship with Christ. Through relevant teaching, discipleship, and meaningful fellowship, we strive to equip the next generation with a strong foundation for their faith.

Adults at Medulla Baptist Church have opportunities to connect, learn, and grow through our Bible study groups, known as Family Groups. These Family groups provide a space for meaningful discussions, prayer, and mutual support, fostering deep relationships and spiritual growth.
